The question I hear again and again – what to buy for those tricky people who have everything, or those who have exhausted their imagination for different gifts year on year? The answer we have decided lies in food.
A nice bit of jam, some posh teabags, irresistibly decadent biscuits. Perfect for your mother, your gran, teachers and your BFF. And for the men – a gourmet pickle, a nice cracker or two, just add a fine port and you’re good to go.
Our first delivery arrived from Up North last week, in the form of the traditionally English food company Cartwright and Butler – Tastefully packaged in an array of covetable jars, canisters and illustrated boxes, spanning the Farrow and Ball colour chart, it looks terribly chic, and the contents are simply a foodie delight.
Our favourites are the zingy lemon curd, indulgent salted caramel biscuits and the impressively decorated fig cake, presented in a beautiful tin.
Keep an eye out more delectable deliveries from Makers & Merchants and Melrose & Morgan, and multitudes of sweet treats from Hope & Greenwood. I’ve heard there might even be a Christmas pudding or two!
